ON THE OCCASION OF THE PRESENTATION OF THE MICHELIN GUIDE 2019, A GUIDE THAT HAS ALWAYS BEEN THE MAIN POINT OF REFERENCE FOR ASSESSING THE QUALITY OF RESTAURANTS AND HOTELS AT NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL LEVEL, HELD IN PARMA ON FRIDAY 16 NOVEMBER, EBERHARD & CO. FOR THE THIRD YEAR AWARDED ITS SPECIAL “QUALITÀ NEL TEMPO MICHELIN ITALIA 2019 ” AWARD AND RENEWED ITS PRESENCE IN THE GUIDE. THE 64TH EDITION, NOW AVAILABLE, WAS UNVEILED IN A NEW LOCATION, THE PAGANINI AUDITORIUM, IN THE HEART OF THE EMILIAN “FOOD VALLEY”. IN THE YEAR WHEN THE FAMOUS MICHELIN MAN CELEBRATES HIS 120TH BIRTHDAY, THERE ARE 367 MICHELIN-STARRED RESTAURANTS IN ITALY: 318 RESTAURANTS WITH * 1 STAR, OF WHICH 29 ARE NEW, 39 RESTAURANTS WITH ** 2 STARS AND 10 RESTAURANTS WITH *** 3 STARS.

THE SPECIAL “QUALITÀ NEL TEMPO MICHELIN ITALIA 2019 ” AWARD, PRESENTED BY MARIO PESERICO, GENERAL MANAGER OF EBERHARD & CO., WAS GIVEN TO THE RESTAURANT LA BOTTEGA DEL 30 (* 1 MICHELIN STAR) OF CASTELNUOVO BERARDENGA– SIENA, TO THE FRENCH CHEF HÉLÈNE STOQUELET. THE NAME OF THE RESTAURANT IS THE CHEF’S HOMAGE TO A STREET VENDOR, OWNER OF AN OLD WORKSHOP, WHO PASSED THROUGH THE VILLAGES IN HIS ESTATE CAR EVERY 30 DAYS AND WAS KNOWN AS “IL TRENTA” (THE THIRTY). THIS MEMORY GAVE RISE TO THE NAME OF THE RESTAURANT, WHICH IN 2017 TURNED 30. EVERYTHING IN THIS RESTAURANT HAS A STORY TO TELL, FROM THE VILLAGE SURROUNDED BY THE NOBLE VINEYARDS OF CHIANTI TO THE STORY OF HÉLÈNE STOQUELET, WHO CAME FROM FRANCE. SHE HAS BEEN ONE OF MICHELIN’S LONGEST-LIVED STARS SINCE 1997. SHE WAS GIVEN A BEAUTIFUL WATCH FROM THE GILDA COLLECTION, A HARMONIOUS MARRIAGE OF MODERNITY AND TRADITION.
