MILANO WINE WEEK

活動

EBERHARD & CO. WAS THE OFFICIAL TIMEKEEPER OF THE THIRD EDITION OF MILAN WINE WEEK, A FESTIVAL THAT HAS BROUGHT TO LIGHT THE MOST INTERESTING REALITIES OF THE ITALIAN WINE PRODUCTION INDUSTRY. A RICH CALENDAR OF EVENTS WAS UNFOLDED IN THE CITY OF MILAN, TEMPORARILY CAST AS THE WINE INDUSTRY SHOWROOM.

In the stunning setting of Palazzo Bovara, Eberhard & Co. gave the first Eberhard & Co. Winers Award to Tommaso Cortonesi, executive director of the Brunello di Montalcino wine consortium.

The panel, made up of the MWW technical and scientific committee chaired by Luciano Ferraro, the president of MWW, Federico Gordini, and Spirito DiVino’s executive director, Franz Botré, chose mr Cortonesi as the winner from a shortlist of candidates. He was nominated thanks to the path he has undertaken in the wine industry, injecting into the consortium impetus and innovation towards a more sustainable outlook, a closer connection to the territory and a view to rediscovering tradition. Tommaso Cortonesi was gifted a mechanical self-winding watch from the Extra-fort collection by Eberhard Italia’s managing director, Mario Peserico, in person.

Milan Wine Week 2020 now offers an online event, through a new digital platform available to the entire industry, to boost the b2b and b2c timetable, and connect professionals and buyers globally. Milan Wine Week represented an international meeting point where key capital cities could connect online and participate in events at the same time. Moscow, Shanghai, Shenzen, Hong Kong, New York, San Francisco, Miami and Toronto are all cities where italian companies have presented their products to reference markets.
Insiders and experts were given access to training and networking materials, accessible both in person and online, organised as part of a busy schedule involving events for visitors to enjoy in the vibrant heart of Milan, an opportunity to learn about, taste and access new experiences within the world of wine production.
