Eberhard & Co. has been one of the protagonists of the 21st edition of Rallylegend, which confirmed its status as one of the most important events in the world of rallying with a record-breaking public success, held in the Republic of San Marino from 12 to 15 October.

This year, the Swiss Maison renewed its participation as sponsor and Official Timekeeper and supported the « 30th JUHA KANKKUNEN ANNIVERSARY – EBERHARD & CO. LEGEND EVENT”, a special event in honour of the four-time World Rally Champion. The event took place in three phases between Friday and Sunday, with exciting shows on the Misano World Circuit and on “The Legend » stage, where Kankkunen, driving a Toyota Celica ST 185, was joined by five « top » drivers from the 1993 World Rally Championship in Group A cars of the time: Eberhard & Co. Ambassador Miki Biasion, Francois Delecour, Alister Mc Rae, Piero Liatti and Andrea Aghini.

On this occasion, the Finnish pilot was awarded with an exclusive chronograph from the Eberhard & Co. collection, the Champion V: a « nomen omen » timepiece of great charisma, which was handed over by Eberhard & Co’s Managing Director Mario Peserico.

During Rallylegend, the Eberhard & Co. stand welcomed the Brand’s Ambassador Miki Biasion, who celebrated two important anniversaries in his glorious career: 40 years since winning six rallies and the Italian and European Championships and 35 years since achieving the World Championship. To the delight of his fans, Biasion drove a Ford Escort Cosworth, the car of his last World Championship victory in 1993 at the Acropolis Rally and wore a chronograph from the special limited edition Chrono 4 Pards, that Eberhard & Co. dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the renowned Italian comics character Tex Willer.

To further mark the close link with Rallylegend, two Nuvolari Desk Clocks (among most original expression of the Eberhard & Co. collection dedicated to the historic racing champion) were awarded to the team that triumphed in the Classic category: the nine-time Motocross World Champion Antonio « Tony » Cairoli together with Eleonora Mori, driving a Subaru Impreza 555 Best formerly driven by Colin McRae.
