Eberhard & Co. has renewed its presence as the Main Sponsor and Official Timekeeper of the Coppa della Perugina, which celebrated its hundredth anniversary this year with an edition rich in events and special initiatives. The event, which took place from May 9th to 12th, stems from the desire to revive the very first speed race ever held in Umbria, from 1924 to 1927, conceived and desired by Giovanni Buitoni, the patron of the confectionery company “La Perugina”.

The Coppa della Perugina is a historical reenactment that is part of the select group of events “Asi Circuito Tricolore”, and on this significant anniversary, it led the over one hundred participating crews to discover the natural and historical beauties of Umbria.

The event crossed the picturesque landscapes of the “green heart of Italy”, starting from Ellera di Corciano and touching villages and cities such as San Gemini, Gubbio, and Perugia. On the last day, after a gathering at San Sisto near the Bartoccini headquarters, the official Eberhard & Co. retailer, the historical reenactment and the skill test took place with the finish line at the Nestlé Perugina facilities.

The overall winner of the Coppa della Perugina, composed of Marino and Manuela Pastore driving a splendid 1938 Fiat 508 C, was awarded with a Champion V chronograph, a wristwatch from Eberhard & Co. with great charisma.

On this significant occasion, the Swiss Maison strengthened its ties with vintage car racing and with those events capable of uniting the passion for this world with the discovery and enhancement of the cultural, historical, and natural heritage of the Italian regions.
