Some events go beyond a mere tribute to the past, becoming a bridge between eras and a celebration of time itself. The “Vernasca Silver Flag” is one such event.
This year, once again, Eberhard & Co. reaffirmed its role as Main Sponsor and Official Timekeeper, honouring the winners of the “Best of Show Pre-War Cars” and “Best of Show Post-War Cars” categories with its prestigious timepieces.
From June 13 to 15, 2025, the roads of Val D’Arda, normally driven by the relentless pace of modern life, slowed down to welcome a parade of meticulously restored vintage automotive masterpieces. Against the picturesque backdrop of Castell’Arquato and Vernasca, these cars stood as testimonies to eras when speed symbolised dreams and daring.
Among this year’s protagonists were true legends on four wheels: the majestic FIAT 130 HP from 1907, designed to dominate the French Grand Prix; the elegant Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 Gran Sport from 1933, restored to its former glory; the fierce Lancia Fulvia Sport Zagato Competizione, a champion of Italian hill climbs; and the iconic Lancia Stratos from 1975, which defined an era in rally racing.
Eberhard & Co., with its centuries-old heritage in watchmaking, was more than a witness to this spectacular event: it set its rhythm. Beyond celebrating mechanical excellence, the Maison became a guardian of stories, honouring the men who, behind the wheel of historic automobiles, pushed the limits of engineering and ingenuity.
The distinguished collector Corrado Lopresto, Brand Ambassador of Eberhard & Co., also joined the event, paying homage to the legendary Tazio Nuvolari, the legendary pilot to whom Eberhard & Co. has dedicated one of its most celebrated collections. For the occasion, Corrado Lopresto unveiled a historic gem: the Cisitalia D48. This rare, one-of-a-kind single seater, built in 1948 as an evolution of the D46, was driven by Tazio Nuvolari himself at the 1948 Monaco Grand Prix.
Once again, Eberhard & Co. stands as the guardian of time, playing a leading role in an event that seamlessly blends innovation with historical heritage. Amid roaring engines and prestigious timepieces, the past comes alive on the winding roads of Val D’Arda, where every turn tells a story, and every automobile becomes a timeless icon.
