Eberhard & Co. Main Sponsor and Official Timekeeper of “Coppa della Perugina 2026”

From May 7 to 10, Umbria once again became an open-air stage where history, engines, and tradition intertwine in a narrative passed down for more than a century. The “Coppa della Perugina”, founded in 1924 through the vision of Giovanni Buitoni, continues today to evoke the elegance of the great competitions of the past. In this context, Eberhard & Co. has renewed its role as Main Sponsor and Official Timekeeper, reaffirming a bond rooted in a passion for mechanics and in the culture of time.

The 2026 edition welcomed approximately 80 crews from all over the world, a figure that reflects the growing international interest in the event. For four days, historic cars crossed villages, hills, and scenic roads across Umbria and its surrounding areas, turning each stop into an encounter between competition, discovery, and memory.

Four days between history and landscape

The route led the crews through some of the most evocative places in the region, alternating regularity tests, cultural visits, and convivial moments. The journey concluded on Sunday, May 10, with the arrival in San Sisto at Bartoccini jewellery, an official Eberhard & Co. retailer, from where the historic re-enactment with the final trial began. The awards ceremony celebrated not only precision and performance, but also the authentic spirit of the event.

The overall classification was won by the 1961 Alfa Romeo Giulia Spider driven by the Boschetti/Tomasi crew, while the Historic Re-enactment category, reserved for open-top cars built before 1940, was won by the Bugatti Type 37 A of Piantelli/Montaldi. The winners were awarded prestigious Eberhard & Co. chronographs, symbols of technical excellence and the Maison’s sporting spirit.

Guests and cars that tell a story

The 2026 edition brought to Umbria historic vehicles of exceptional value and leading figures from the motoring world. Among the most anticipated guests was Miki Biasion, two-time World Rally Champion and Eberhard & Co. Brand Ambassador, whose presence added further prestige to the event. Alongside him was collector Corrado Lopresto, also a Brand Ambassador of the Maison, awarded for bringing to the race a 1934 Lancia Augusta Berlina Lusso, winner of the 1936 Targa Florio: a car that represents a fundamental chapter in the history of Italian motorsport.

A bond that transcends time

The “Coppa della Perugina” is not merely a historic re-enactment: it is a bridge between eras, a place where mechanics become culture and time takes on a narrative value. For Eberhard & Co., participating in this event means celebrating a shared vision: that of an elegance that endures, a tradition that continues to inspire, and a technical and human heritage worthy of being passed down.
