The result of a profound exploration of the Maison’s archives, the Scafograf 200 MCMLIX asserts an identity faithful to its origins, capable of renewing itself with coherence, interpreting in a contemporary key the historical codes of the collection, rooted in 1959. This research is expressed through carefully crafted details and technical solutions that respect the professional vocation of the collection, preserving its original spirit while enhancing its evolution.
The future is born from afar
Inspired by the 1959 model and a symbol of the historic bond between the Maison and the world of the sea, the new Scafograf 200 MCMLIX, featuring an automatic mechanical movement, introduces a compact 39 mm case. Its underwater capabilities and details recalling vintage design express the spirit of the collection: a natural balance between tradition, innovation, and an identity that transcends time.
The new polished steel Milanese mesh bracelet, an absolute first for the Maison, reinterprets the watch’s vintage spirit in a contemporary way. Faithful to the tradition of the Scafograf collection, the caseback is personalized with a starfish, a distinctive symbol and an immediate reference to the watch’s diving DNA.
The collection is offered with two dial variations for both black and blue versions: either dégradé or with a silver-toned minute track featuring a circular satin finishing. The triangular indices and the pointed tip of the hour hand remain distinctive elements of the collection since its original model: born from precise functional needs, they ensure immediate readability even in low-visibility conditions.
At 9 o’clock, a helium escape valve is present for the automatic release of helium, useful during decompression phases and essential during dives. The lightweight and flexible structure of the Milanese mesh bracelet combines refinement and comfort, while the 2CLICK® déployant clasp ensures protection against accidental opening.
